CZ 75D PCR Review: What Are the Pros and Cons of the 75D PCR?

CZ pistols are some of the best looking out there (in my opinion anyways). And of those, the CZ 75D PCR is easily one of the best. A compact variant of the popular CZ 75, this little thing is almost everything you could want in a concealed carry piece.

If you're thinking about picking one up for yourself, then you're going to want to think about the good and potentially the bad. So, let's dive into both the pros and the cons of the 75D PCR and see if it's the right fit!

Pros:

  1. Compact Size: First and foremost, this thing is small. Honestly, it's the perfect size for concealed carry. With a shorter barrel and grip, you can carry this thing all day long and hardly even notice it on your belt.

  2. Decent Accuracy: Compact handguns are never going to be as accurate as their longer barreled brothers, but the CZ 75D PCR can definitely stand on its own. The longer sight radius and a low bore axis makes it easier to aim and shoot accurately even for beginners.

  3. Excellent Reliability: I mean, it's a CZ so what did you expect? The 75D PCR is a reliable handgun that is built to last. This is one that you can pass down to your great grandkids one day.

  4. High Magazine Capacity: Concealed carry guns tend to struggle with finding the balance between size and ammo capacity, but the CZ 75D PCR seems to find that perfect middle ground. It can hold up to 14 rounds of 9mm ammo so you'll have plenty of firepower to work with.

  5. Ergonomic Design: Did I mention that this thing is comfortable? The CZ 75D PCR has an ergonomic design that makes it super easy and comfortable to shoot. Again, not easy for a compact handgun to pull off but this one does it again.

Cons:

  1. Heavy Trigger: The first downside of this gun is definitely its trigger. It is fairly heavy compared to some other handguns on the market and while this may not bother some people, it can make it harder for others or for those looking for the best accuracy.

  2. Limited Holster Options: You got to love the looks of this thing, but due to its unique design, the CZ 75D PCR may not fit in all holster types. Again, not a deal breaker for some, but something to be aware of.

  3. Limited Accessory Options: Similar to the holster problem, the CZ 75D PCR does not have as many accessory options as other handguns either. If you're looking to fully customize every bit of your handgun, you might want to stick with a Glock.

  4. Hard to Find: The CZ 75D PCR is a much less common variant of the CZ 75, so good luck trying to find it in your average gun store. Your best bet is to order one online.

  5. Higher Price: Lastly, this gun is not a budget-friendly handgun by any means. Some people don't care about the price tag while others might be on a strict budget. Whatever camp you fall in, just know that this thing will not be cheap.

And there you have it! The CZ 75D PCR is chock full of great things (and maybe a few bad things) but overall is an excellent handgun. Not only does it look great, but it is extremely high quality and is sure to last you for years to come. So will you be picking one up? Let us know how you like it!
