Dye Engineer

Southern Trapper LLC seeks full-time Dye Engineer at our Charleston, SC location for the following duties: Prepare alligator and elephant leather for dying. Test pre-dyed leather for absorption rates, color correctness, and color fastness Create dye formula using liquid and wax dyes and test formula on leather to ensure color correctness. Modify formula when needed to target color correctness. Use different dye applicators and techniques to achieve desired results. Seal leather using leather sealant. Store leather in safe conditions.
