What Is The Honor Guard?

An Honor Guard is a specialized unit dedicated to supporting law enforcement departments, the city, and neighboring agencies by performing essential duties at various public and formal events. These duties include the Presentation of Colors, conducting inspections, and participating in police funerals. The Honor Guard collaborates closely with other departments such as the Police Department Pipes and Drums, Bugler, and Mounted Horse Patrol Unit, working together to arrange solemn and respectful funerals and memorial services for fallen officers across the entire US region during times of mourning.

What Is An Honor Guard Holster?

These are special formal holsters that are typically worn during important Honor Guard events. They are often made from top-grain cowhide leather, black in color, and have a very high shine to them. The Honor Guard holster also typically comes with a thumb break or retention strap to secure the firearm in place.

Can A Honor Guard Holster Be Customized?

At the Southern Trapper, we will work directly with your law enforcement agency to customize your Honor Guard holster specific to your firearm. These holsters can be made for red dot optics, lights or lasers, compensators, and threaded barrels. We even have the option of embossing pictures of badges or badge numbers.
